Barbara was one of those rare girls who was pretty on the outside and even prettier on the inside. Her "always cheerful" personality endeared her to everyone--classmates and Dragonette teammates. We dated all through the last semester of our senior year and had a wonderful time at the Senior Prom. After graduation, we had intended to remain a couple, but, as often happens, love cooled when we went off to different colleges. She always held a warm place in my memory and I was saddened to learn of her death when we searched for lost classmates for the 50th reunion. I feel certain that those who knew Barb felt the same sense of loss.
