Nancy Sickles (Tedder)

Nancy will be missed. This is her obituary:

TEDDER, Nancy Sickles Nancy Sickles Tedder, 71, of Marietta, died suddenly on April 20, 2016. Born in Passaic, N.J., Nancy's family moved to Fort Lauderdale, Fla. when she was young. After graduating high school, she earned a degree from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Fla. She then pursued a career as an educator, teaching first and third grade students until she had her first child. Nancy settled in Atlanta in 1970 and lived here ever since. Nancy was a dedicated mother and grandmother, a voracious reader, an avid bridge player, and a travel enthusiast, having visited more than 50 countries on five continents. She loved musicals and live performances, almost as much as she loved her family and friends. She will be sorely missed. Nancy is survived by her beloved Jim Cox; daughter, Linda Tedder; son, Steve Tedder and his wife, Melissa; and grandchildren, Charlie, Katie and Sam Tedder. In lieu of flowers, friends are encouraged to make a donation in Nancy's memory to HOPE Atlanta, www.hopeatlanta.org. A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, April 25, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends at 12:30 p.m. at H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd., NE, Sandy Springs, Ga. 30328. A reception will follow at Horseradish Grill, which is located at 4320 Powers Ferry Rd NW, Atlanta, Ga. 30342.
